There's different types of Slice of Life... if you want more like Lucky Star (or rather, the daily lives of high school chicks), then Minami-Ke is an excellent choice. If you want Slice of Life that touches on the anime subculture, then it's Genshiken and Welcome to the NHK (which you should read instead of watch) - although if you're really from /a/, you've already seen/read it.
Aria is Slice of Life that more like... mellow out and just chill. Reflect on the beauty of the living and just relax. Hard to explain. If you like Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, you'll like Aria. And vice-versa.
Then there's Slice of Life that's focused on relationships. Typically, this is more josei-ish stuff - because the scenarios presented are actually realistic, which is why it can also be considered slice of life. Honey & Clover and Maison Ikkoku come to mind.
