>>9827860 People keep saying it's awesome and read on, but it's boring the shit out of me.
I've read it all, and even with the premise of aggravating every lurker in /a/, I'll have to agree with you.
The concept is awesome, but as for how they handle the actual love story it all goes in circles forever. In the beginning it all seems cute and sweet, but when there's been about a ten chapters with the exact same layout I'm allowed to say there was way too little substance. The more interesting points that are actually introduced like the old teacher noting that Ai-Ren's love is just an artificial lie never get dwelt on even though they clearly show that the author knew what he had in is hands.
Later on, 'larger' plot elements are included, but they're never followed through in detail and get left as random semi-epic crap. As thus, when they offer pretty much nothing, the plot would've been way better without them, leaving much of the world shrouded in mystery.
All in all, I have no idea why it's arranged that way when Tanaka clearly knows his stuff, as can be seen in about the whole vol1 and later on in some scenes like when the Ai-Ren meets the soldier.
Brilliant shit included, but too little of it.
