The problem with /a/ is all the anime

You see, it seems like the foreign otaku scene only cares about animation. They see everything from the 2d culture as anime-related. They don't seem to understand that anime is a sub-branch of a bigger subculture that is primarily based off of comics.

Yet the ratio of animation/comics threads is pretty glaringly in favor of animation, and when stuff that's central to the subculture get brought up, like games and Touhou, nobody knows where to put them.

I kind of liked /a/ as a broad, ecclectic "otaku" board. It worked that way.
