My animation teacher recommended Toon Boom, so I tested if it was suited for making anime.
Shit fucking sux.
Also, what the hell is wrong with all animation teachers? It's extremely frustrating that they assume that 2D animation is some fugly western traditional cartoon with lots of furries.
"If you don't like 2D animation, go for 3D like everyone else" my ass.

I need a professional program that can make great vector lines without forgetting tracing, painting, shading etc. etc.
Right now RETAS!Pro looks like the most promising solution, but it also means I have to (gasp) buy it with money.

I doubt there are many who consider anime as a lifetime career.
