-Read and do all exercisers in Japanese for busy people (KANA EDITION)
-Get Essential kanji by P.G.O'Neill
-Learn every word on this website to build a vocabulary -> http://www.spurrymoses.com/jlpt/4/jlpt4_vocab-list.html
I would also recommend reading "All about particles" and something on Japanese verb conjugation.
Doing all of that, and learning the first 800 kanji found in Essential Kanji will give you a basic, but solid, understanding of the language.
