"ZURICH: Armed robbers stole four important paintings by Van Gogh, Monet, Degas and Cézanne from a museum here, the Swiss authorities announced Monday, in what they said might have been the largest art theft in Europe."

"Three thieves, wearing dark clothes and ski masks, walked into the E.G. Bührle Foundation, a private collection housed a few kilometers from the center of Zurich, around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, shortly before the museum was to close."
"After the theft, the men fled in a white car, with the trunk open and the paintings visible, witnesses said."
