"THE PATCH WILL BE DISCONTINUED AS OF JULY 23rd, 2006.
THE PIRATES BROUGHT THIS UPON THEMSELVES BY PIRATING planetarian AND BY ACTING IN AN IMMATURE MANNER OVER THE PAST FOUR DAYS. WE WILL NOT LET HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF AGAIN. IF YOU ARE A LEGITIMATE CONSUMER, THEN THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. MAKE TIME ON JULY 23rd AND TAKE THE TEST.
The test will be at least ten questions long, and will also involve THREE (3) pieces of photographic evidence. (A) You must provide a full-body picture of yourself holding the box in one hand and all three discs plus the manual in the other. (B) You must rip the customer feedback card into four equivalent-sized pieces, place one piece on each of the three discs, place the final piece on top of the box, and take a picture of all that. (C) You must destroy the support disc, then place the remains label-side-up on top of the box. You do not need the support disc for our patch.
The drastic measures asked by NNL make sense within the current context of a certain Hongfire thread, a 4chan thread, a GameFaq's thread, and a lot of shit that happened on IRC, in which users are rushing to get scans of all portions of the box and manual or just attempting to scheme someway of pirating NNL's patch. It is unfortunate that things have had to go this far and frankly, its redicilous. NNL and insani spent over 1000+ hours to bring you this patch, why is it that so many people cant appreciate that. Past all the stupid questions of morality, piracy, and crap, is it so WRONG that NNL wishes only to distribute the patch among those who own the game? Would have it been better had they only privately distributed it to a couple of their friends and never let the world see the patch? Personally, I think not...
