As someone who absolutely loved Love Hina to pieces and still holds all their characters dear (manga, not shit anime), I have to agree. Negima is a similar mix of romance, comedy but with a lot of adventure-action added in the mix. You have an entire class of unique girls this time, allowing for a lot more of genre play.
Meaning, if Love Hina could use Motoko for a swordplay-samurai story and Kaolla for mecha ones, imagine the same but with... 30 girls? Or so.
