Well gee, you know my birthday is closing in. Such a bummer to get older really. I'd like to be 20 and messed up forever.
Anyways, this is the kinda thread where you can blog about anything, right? Well, the latest purchase of mine is Mari Mayan´s Collectors 70. I'm no real expert in this kinda stuff, but it kinda looked genuine enough to me with its est. 1880 badge and all. Anyways, Mari Mayan happens to be apparently some well-known herbalist, so she'll prolly know hers stuff. Anyways, the taste is kinda too anise for this kinda drink but I don't kinda really since I do dig anise and all. You know, the milky effect is there and all. Then again what the hell is wrong with the colour of this thing? I mean, it's like poison green. Must have been artificially coloured. What kinda of herbalist would pull up such a stunt. And this supposed to a Spanish product, but the company appears to be located in Ibiza. Not too trustworthy I'd say. Actually, I've grown kinda suspicious, if this is the real stuff at all. It appears that EU hasn't made it a protected trademark for single country like ouzo and feta are for greece for an example. I mean, absenta should be all european product and all, but you can't call any coloured liquor absenta, right? I don't think that this has any real wormweed in it. Then again the est. badge kinda states otherwise. I mean, it kinda old and all. Perhaps they dropped the wormweed when it was banned and never added it again once it was legal again. At least I don't feel particularly artistical right now. Such shame, is it not. Anyways, I'm used to the Czech or preparing the drinks so I'll stick with it even if I burn this sad place down. Kinda reminds me of my parents, really. Preparing the drinks was such a festive little number when I was a kid. Anyways, just wanted to give it a quick review that's all.
