Wouldn't you say it's pretty retarded to have what's clearly the same situation and same single line said in both the novel and movie, and then imply that the dialog might not be the same? Even though the word "mateki" is in both novel and movie, and the novel gives the kanji as 魔的? Takajun clearly knows his stuff better than the rest of the groups.
It's clear enough that the lower-right group simply used the only 'mateki' definition in dictionaries without considering the possibility of a -的 construction (which it actually was).
The lower-left group appears to have interpreted 魔的, but a bit differently from Takajun. I don't know which one is more appropriate.
