Yeah but military power is more than just 1v1 strength, it's also numbers and logistics.
Also the war would've been won eventually without america's help.
Don't get me wrong, america helped out a lot, but japan and america were pretty much having their own war in the pacific. As much as the battle of the buldge is talked about, it wasn't as impressive as what the british/commonwealth forces did in europe. And D-day was mostly won on sword, gold and juno beaches.
