Wait what? Plot is well done, the characters are at least not your typical Animu archetypes, and politics was interesting. It'd be hard to consider it 'shit' because it does everything, except the animation, much quite well. Heck it's probably one of the few shows that addresses the usage of Naval tactics, namely Crossing the T.
I may not agree with how politics are presented in this show, but it's technically sound in the end. If you want to whine about LoGH, complain about the Terraists. In the end they were just your typical doomsday cult minus the doomsday device. Real waste of potential.
