>>13085640>>Anime does have a stereotypical standard. Large eyes is the most prevalent. Why do you think you can tell 'anime' art from other works? Because it has a general style.
Key word "Stereotypical", I don't expect you to make that mistake seeing as you're in /a/ but fact of the matter is Anime has a lot of diverse styles raging from spikey haired, big eyes of Inazuma to the grisly sketch art of Tsutomu nihei. Whether or not Araki conforms to the imagined standard doesn't make it better. Some above me said different != bad and Good. And that is absolutely true being different is just that, different.>>His colors are always great. Pic for example. All of the colors are close in range and compliments each other. Especially the blue sky and pink ground, a light blue makes the pink stand out wich helps the foreground accentuate itself from the background and creates the effect that it's actually horizontally coming towards you.
I agree that the foreground and background creates a contrast, but the rest of the things you said make no sense at all.
Also mixing Electric pink and lime green is the the very definition of gaudy and flashy.>>Golden Age of art
I hope to god you're referring to the Greco roman statues that Araki tries (and fails) to imitate.
