It's something that has always disturbed me about her, yet I can't see her without them. It's remarkable, how I can't even imagine her as a normal, happy human being. She's always looking sad, and when she's not on duty I see her often in the gardens, sitting on a bench while staring vacantly at the infinite blueness of the sky.
For some reason I can't explain, I reach out and grab her hand.
"M-master?" She asks.
She's confused. Of course she is. What reason would I have to do that?
Yes, what reason indeed?
I don't know, but for just that single moment where I acted out of instinct, I thought I could heal her. But reality isn't that kind.
"Master?" She asks again.
She's starting to get scared, since I've been looking blankly at her while lost in thought. I let her go.
"S-sorry. I don't know what came over me."
"Uhm... it's alright. Eh?" She sounds a little surprised after looking at my monitor. In it, my Legend of the Galactic Heroes folder is opened, with episode 72 ready for watching. This is what the tea was for.
"Can I... may I stay and watch it together with you, master?" She timidly asks.
