Why you shouldn't pirate anime and manga anymore: Japan is in a recession, and people are losing their jobs. Piracy is strengthening the recession by costing companies like Gonzo billions of yens in lost revenue.

"The Nikkei 225 Stock Average fell 176.83, or 1.3 percent, to close at 13,286.37 in Tokyo, the lowest since April 16. It was the 10th-straight day of decline, the longest since March 1965, according to the benchmark's Web site."
