There is something wonderfully pathetic about the anon-tan thing. The concept is sad and wonderful and false and amazing. Its like anon is saying, "Look, I don't want some perfect girl, I don't want a supermodel, nor do I want some anime-style perfection; all I want is a plain girl who shares my interests. Is that too much to ask?"
But there is the wonderful contradiction - anon-tan is just as much of an unobtainable perfection as any other moe character or male fantasy. She shares all of anon's interests without having any personality querks of her own, she is designed to agree completely with anything anon thinks, she is shy so anon can feel manly by protecting her.
I don't think anon is able to love a real human girl, anon's exposure to the idealised characters in anime have left him unable to love someone with flaws. Anon tricks himself into thinking that actually he is not asking for much by creating his ideal woman as having characteristics that are superficially different from usual social idea's of a perfect woman, even though it is really the same thing when you dig deeper.
I dated a girl once, a female anon, no less. We didn't get on at all, as she was not perfect. Sure, she shared my interests, but we had these differences - she did not agree without question to all my opinions. She was not perfect, and anon can only love a perfect woman.
