have you listen to yourself?? your last post was nothing, but rubbish. by your own logic, the companies themselves are collapsing because of a practice that's not needed.
the reason many american distributors are dying is because of an over saturated market. like what happened with the real estate market. unfortunately, not every anime is a work of art and thus because many lisenses were bought even for crap shows, the industry is in the mess it's in.
these companies are trying to appeal to the general public, not the die hard fans that prefer subs. if they were only targeting the die hard fans, then not much money can be made. look around you, you can see this same practice in movies, like Iron Man, Hulk, Batman, etc. all those super hero movies that have their stories altered to appeal to a larger range of audience.
