I'm not criticizing your (or anyone's preferred dub type) but I'm just saying it's hard to make an informed decision without experiencing both dubs to their full potential.>>12681956>Many, many emotions can be conveyed without even sound. Eyes, eyebrows, mouth, shoulders, etc. all show emotion. More to the point, sound does carry emotion, and lots of it. A sad violin piece contains no language but can make me cry like a baby.
Probably not the best way to start off a post.>Also, by watching more anime in Japanese, you can hear the emotion in the words just from experience.
You may be acquainted to Japanese speech and inflections, but you won't know the meaning conveyed by said inflections unless you actually understand it by speaking it natively or what not.
Just my point is, how are you able to come to a decision on which is better if you analyze the English dub with, ah, stressed sounds, VA puts more feeling in some scenes which really fits the scene, emphasis, whatever, while for the Japanese dub, you're not able to judge it by the same criteria but you'll come to a judgment nonetheless.
