From vol. 29 of Young Magazine, one of the editors comment that he feels that some recent seiyuu have been becoming arrogant, talking on and on TV about the feelings of the character that they’re voicing and the character’s background, as if the seiyuu is the original author of the story.

He doesn’t name anybody but he says that the person that he saw spoke of the character in such a way that it made him want to say “you didn’t create this character did you?”, and it makes him hope that only the seiyuu that hold the mindset that they’re “given the role” will be successful.

Young Magazine manga that have been animated recently are Kaiji, Minamike, and xxxHolic. And the most recent TV appearance by a seiyuu is Hirano Aya on Top Runner two weeks ago.
