>>12518132>Then you do it.
I recently bought a TV. It was damaged during shipping, the screen was cracked. Do you honestly think I should just have built my own damn TV from scratch instead of sending it back and demand a new one?>I HIGHLY doubt they sub like they do because they don't know how to translate it.>They just want to translate it the way they do.
Why would they want to not translate some, or a lot, of words? Why translate into English if they feel that the English language cannot possibly convey the original meaning? Why not translate into hebrew or greek? They don't translate and say its because translating would make words "lose their meaning". The only reason a word, or a sentence, lose its meaning is when it is not translated properly.>Why don't you like email the sub groups if you care so much?
Because they wouldn't care. They hold all the cards. They can translate, everyone else cannot.
I would love to be a proofreader for a subbing group, but I'm not confident in my English. It's not bad, but it's not perfect either. And since I can't speak Japanese, all I can do is correct grammar and spelling, but there's the possibility I might break the original meaning if I do so in my ignorance towards the original language.
Now since I mentioned grammar I probably jinxed, have fun pointing that out.
