There's a guy. He is a Diver who is a part of a research team, but we don't fully know what for yet. Though we can assume they might have been building the oceanic world the future story takes place in over 'The Metal'.
He has an interaction with an organism or the 'life force' of the Earth or something at the bottom of the Ocean. We don't know what it is yet. Goes into Coma.
Warp 50 years into the Future, it is now the year 2061. He is with the use of his legs and has been implanted with a Cybernetic Brain (reason not given). Possibly to do with the Meta-Real and other stuff talked about in the first episode. His partner has gone on to organize a group to watch over and maintain 'The Metal', which they now rely on for both a power source and a type of advanced computer network.
Lots of other stuff happens, Assistant is actually an Android, Healthy Girls, Sunglasses and fighting, but then we have the main guy having to go save someone in 'The Metal'. Diving in 'The Metal' isn't like diving in the real world. Its like a combination of jumping in the Matrix and controlling something in Tron. The environment is all just a simulation of another world like all those 'jumping in a computer' shows do. And if you 'give up' your fight in that world, you will die. But he always makes it, because like in Angelic Layer or Matrix or Eva...he is 'the One'.
Well, if any of this makes sense to you, you should not only understand the 'plot' so far, but pretty much how about half the rest of the show is going to go from here on out. But still, the show is one of the better ones we've had for a while. If only for having somewhat of a plot AND healthy girls at the same time.
