You know, I was thinking about the difference between comics and manga the other day. At first I didn't believe there really was one, and it was just a bunch of weeaboo superiority crap. BTW, I read both, more a fan of comics but I recently read Death Note and Chobits and have come to appreciate manga a little bit.

Anyway, manga is basically just a way for people to read faster when you get down to it. Its paneling is just used to move the eye quickly through a story, its characters (more often than not) little more than stick figures to play out the dialogue. Don't get me wrong, sometimes the stories are great, but I just see it as much more like a picture book or young adult novel. Comics have always been about the art first and foremost.
