Too simple? Jeezus, early morning /a/ is always full of so many pants-on-head retarded folks.
Look, the thing about Miyazaki films is that they're too complex. He drops you off in a world that has SO MUCH SHIT happening in it at once, but never bothers to explain any of it BECAUSE that is what gives his films that uniquely immersive feeling. It's just like in real life how things happen without explanation, and it makes it seem more 'realistic', despite the absurdly surreal nature of Miyazaki's work in that these unexplained things are often considered either normal or believable to the fictional residents of these worlds.
