I just watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. And you know what I really loved about it? For once it wasn't Hare Hare Yukai, or even Yuki (although she alone is a good reason to watch). I'm talking about that brilliant trick they threw in with the pacing of the story development. Surprisingly I never hear anyone mention that when they're praising the anime. I'll not say it for those who want the surprise, but if you've watched it you know what I'm talking about.

So have any other anime done this in the past, or was Haruhi the first?
