Pretty much any manga you open will look identical. Compare that to something like Sandman, where Gaiman regularly switched artists to give each story arc a completely unique look, because he had such a massive pool of talent to draw on.
Take a look at artists like Colin MacNail, Carlos Ezquerrera, Ian Gibson, Stuart Immomen, Brian Wood, Gary Leech, Steve Dillon, David Lloyd, Jon J Muth, Wade Von Grawbadger (owner of the most awesome name in history), Gene Ha, Alex Ross, Tomm Coker, Ben Templesmith, Mike Wolfer...
There are just so many great artists, with unique and incomparable styles working in American and British comics, it's just breath taking. Manga is, in comparison, a wasteland of cooky cutter styles and minor variations on the same basic model.
