See this is the problem, on one hand unless I prove myself right, you'll go off thinking you're toughguys and SMARTguys aswell, but if I do, chances are you going to hide behind the "successful troll" statement to mask your ignorance...so why try so hard? Because fuck you that's why.>>11491076
Deus Ex Machina
According to Webster's dictonary, it has the following 2 meanings:
"1: a god introduced by means of a crane in ancient Greek and Roman drama to decide the final outcome
2 : a person or thing (as in fiction or drama) that appears or is introduced suddenly and unexpectedly and provides a contrived solution to an apparently insoluble difficulty"
Literally, it simply means 'Ghost in/of the machine'. If we were to use 'Anima ex machina', we'd get 'Spirit/god of the machine'. Spirit and ghost are two very different things. Spirit is a persistent thing, ghost is a gone but remembered thing. The Latin words deus and dīvus, and Greek διϝος = "divine", are descended from Proto-Indo-European *deiwos = "divine"
The word Animus translates to spirit, or soul, but this context cannot be used considering that the machines do not have spirits, they have artificial intelligence, ghost if you will. Now if you want a literal translation of that title
Ghost in the Shell = Phasmatis ex crusta, but that's fucking stupid, because it's not in a fucking shell it's in a fucking Machine, so we use Machina, now faggot as you recall is still your name, Phasmatis ex Machina is something entirely different, because then we'd be talking about an actual fucking Ghost like a Phantom. So instead we go with Deus ex Machina. Now fuck yourself.
