The quality of the Perfect Sessions bootleg is decent (I still have this, bought it a few years ago before I knew better), but not as good as the official release. Official release is six discs, bootleg is three, which means they either removed extras, reduced quality of the audio/video, or both. But the fact that it's a bootleg is reason enough not to purchase it. I'm relatively fine with online distribution, at least fansubbers and people who release R1 discs do so at no charge, they're just trying to share good shows. People who turn piracy into a business, though, piss me off to no extent.
As mentioned, I think people are better off downloading than giving their money to bootleggers. If OP can't download or whatever, I'll mail him my Perfect Sessions bootleg. Anything to keep more money from getting into bootleggers' hands.
