I don't think that I've ever seen one of these discussions where the European bashers (I made the distinction there... I'm sure that there are a fair amount of non-idiotic Europeans that post in these threads) didn't look like the ignorant idiots.
Then again, they're generally the ones that start this shit as well as the ones that are doing most of the bashing of a country that they've never visited and obviously know next to nothing about, so that's to be expected.
And FYI, those little interviews where they show people who can't point out their own country on a map, think that Europe is a country, don't know the name of their own governor, etc. aren't an accurate representation of the intelligence of the average American. They pick out the dumbest people that they can find and pick the most select, possibly slanted data to best prove their point, rather than giving an accurate depiction of how many Americans know this stuff. Don't you guys have news broadcasts and the like in your countries where they'll take select out-of-context quotes from a few of the locals and find one or two odd ducks to put a dramatic spin on public reaction that's obviously complete bullshit? (i.e. making it look like an entire neighborhood is on edge when a child rapist gets out of prison)
