Pokemon is rather deep when you really dig into it.
I mean, it is about a world in which the youth go on fantastical, and extremely dangerous, journeys on their birthday. The whole world seems utopian at first, with free healthcare, cheap food, few criminals, and all problems are solved through Pokemon.
Yet, in this world, there are still major criminal organizations trying to destroy all this utopia. And, on top of that, the Pokemon themselves are incredibly dangerous creatures that can kill humans at will.
Thrust into all this is Ash, a lone teenage boy whom most go on his own Odyssey to find himself, and what he is, and of course, to become the Pokemon master.
