For all waiting: END OF POKEMON
Ash, Dawn, and Brock are walking along on their journey one day, when they happen upon the several scavanger Pokemon picking at a dead body. It turns out to be the corpse of Gary Oak, Ash's longtime rival. A piece of paper cuspicously rolled up in a waste basket nearby has an address on it, and Ash and the gang decide to investigate, without notifying the police. They go to the address, which turns out to be a government office, but are denied entry. Ash, still rattled by finding Gary dead, almost gives up, but Brock won't let him, and tries to force his way in. They find evidence that Team Rocket is influencing the governing bodies of each major city, especially the ones with League-certified gyms, so that the gym leaders will not take any large action against Team Rocket and their manipulation of the government. In fact, the Pokemon League itself is funded in large part by Team Rocket, who look to steal only the strongest, trained Pokemon. However, the trio is arrested by Officer Jenny, who turns out to be in the pocket of Team Rocket, as are all her indentical sisters. Ash's Pikachu runs off.
Ash, Dawn, and Brock are put in a temporary lock up. In the middle of the night, though, Officer Jenny comes in, intending to shoot them for stumbling in on Team Rocket's plans. Pikachu comes out of nowhere and electrocutes her to death. Ash and the gang flee the police station and sneak back into the government building to find out what got Gary killed. It turns out that Gary discovered the true goal of Team Rocket, but even though it's referenced in documents, no details are explained. Using a number on the paper Gary put in the trash, Ash accesses secret files that reveal that the current headquarters of Team Rocket are at the Silph Co. Building back in the Kanto Region's Saffron City. They all take a train, disguising themselves as they travel. Following them, however, is Jesse, James, and Meowth, as usual.
