Goku, Luffy, Naruto, and Kamina are basically the exact same character in different settings. (Only Kamina is adult Goku, rather than kid Goku like the other two.) I do dislike the archetype, but it's been used so many times that it's pretty much par for the course, so you can't say they're bad, just exactly average.
Ichigo is a hybrid of Yusuke and Kenshin's personalities, which gets the job done though it isn't particularly original or interesting. I'll rank him as above-average, simply because he doesn't bend over backwards to annoy the ever-living shit out of me.
Simon's an interesting case, since he's the only one of those series protagonists that actually has any significant character development over the course of his show. I liked the coming of age plot between the beginning and middle of the shows, but then near the ending the writers decided that they were going to have their character "mature" INTO Gokufymina, which kind of fucked the whole thing up. I'll put him above Ichigo, _slightly_, though I spent the latter third of the series wishing someone would give him that "think with your big head, not your little head" speech.
Finally, there's Sasuke, who manages to combine the two traits of O Blessed One Of The Plot and Massive Douche in a manner mathematically optimized towards pissing me off. By far the worst of the lot here, and the proof that when we get a generic retard as a protagonist we should really be counting our blessings.
I never watched Inuyasha, so I have no clue what his character is like, other than having girly hair and some penis size compensation issues. So null vote.
