>>10860215>They built the drama up like there would be some huge crisis among all the children wearing dennou glasses, but in the end it was just a "crisis" about the two main characters. I did (and do) love Isako, but I felt like I was sold a bill of goods.
The show had been all about making things seem larger than they were up til that point, thinking the city was bigger than it was, thinking her grandma charged way more than she did, death of vitrual pets being serious business, and so on; exaggerations and kids viewpoints.
What made you think the ending would be any different?
I personally don't like how they had all that tension between Fumie and Daichi, and didn't really do anything with it. (plus random Daichi x loli filler) And it was definitely way too much focused on Isako and Haraken rather than the problems in general. They also could have linked the illegals as being some thing more serious, or at least gave a concrete explanation. I sort of wish it would have had a season just about illegal hunting and then another just focusing on Isako's shit rather than shifting to a heavy focus on her near the end.
