Just because other people have done it doesn't mean you shouldn't want to try it too.
You never watch movies because other people have seen them already? You never play games because other people have played them already? You never read books because other people have read them already?
If you're talking about aspiring to do something for other people, sure that's noble, but think about what you want, personally. It's okay to be selfish now and then, this is your life and yours alone.
As for working, try and find a job you enjoy doing, with people you enjoy being around. If you do that, sure it's work, but it keeps you busy and if you can make something more out of it than just "That shit I hate doing but I have to" then it's really not so bad. It's just another way to spend time.>>10838154
As for you, honestly, it sounds like the only person responsible for your pain is yourself. Nothing will happen unless you decide for yourself and put your own willpower to work to make your life better. You've got a start when you tell yourself to do something, you just have to get over your own fears and do it. Think back to when you were a kid. Going to school at first was scary, but you did it. Learning to walk was scary, you did it. Learning to drive, going places in the dark, being alone, even. Only by facing these fears can you improve yourself, and the only person who can face them is you.
I'm sorry if I sound like a bad motivational speaker, but I really want to see more anons go somewhere with their lives. When I saw that image, it scared the shit out of me, and I've come to realize that kind of a life is more frightening than any job hunt, any conversation with a stranger, any love confession could ever possibly be.
