Its an acquired taste. I, personaly, enjoyed innocence immencely. I enjoyed quotes that for others may seem to be out of place, I enjoyed long conversations between characters, I enjoyed references to works of art, I enjoyed the pace, characters, directing, scene compositions, sound and camera use. I am not an artfag or philosophy major, but some shows should be different from others, and Innocence was different. Its not a thoughtless action movie where you can turnoff you brain and enjoy, neither it is a textbook. It was a piece of art, and a good one. Yes, sometimes innocence was not clear, but it did not have an obligation to explain to you in details every idea.
