i'm don't deny that it's possible to transmit information without using dialogue. and i don't deny that it's really interesting, and can be used in visual media.
but if used for narrative, and not for experimentation purposes it needs to make sense in the context of the plot.
not every plot, even very good, well written, plots are capable of being able to be told without dialogue. but while plots who can told without dialogue might be definitely interesting, it doesn't make them superior to plots who cannot - and neither is visual media, which expresses everything through visuals. it is interesting, but it's not necessary better, since visual media like anime is not visuals alone. animation, is but a part of it, just like music, voice acting, writing and dialogue.
still, i say, that for the majority of stories, those who involve human interaction - a dialogue-less way of storytelling is not possible, which is why dialogue will remain one of the most important aspects.
