It's an argument that only exists to end discussion. It's a stock response. Nothing more.
"You either like it or you don't" is extremely simple to understand, right? Ideally, to the poster of this phrase, all discussion would halt. Why discuss opinions and try to have stimulating arguments when this piece of wisdom is right in front of us? "You either like it or you don't!" Wow! Profound!
4chan uses this kind of stuff all the time. Instead of using real arguments and trying to back up their points with consistent evidence (Those axiomatic systems you were talking about), they'd simply choose to end the thought process with a cliche and effectively end the argument.
