Why is the majority of advertising and general marketing for anime titles, manga, and other related thing so fucking infantile, stupid and exaggerated to the point that it seem phony and teeth-grindingly embarrassing to all involved? Do the companies putting this crap together honestly believe that this is how they're going to get thier target audience attention and brand loyalty? I mean I know that the target demographic is teens and tweener brats, but I have never met anyone in any age group that looked at crap like anime TV and didn't feel a little insulted
