The problem with wikipedia is that it wants complete credibility as a normal encyclopedia, rather than just being a catalog of internet fads. Due to this fear they shun anything that is internet based with prejudice. What they do not realize is that there is no real limit to the number of articles wikipedia can depict, and having a more comprehensive list, even if some objects are not notable, is a strength not a weakness. And everyone knows about chickens.
Sometimes I think they try a little too hard to prove their legitimacy. If you read one of their deletion discussions it's really a huge orgy of nerddom. And you just know they're sitting there imagining some big dramatic round-table discussion with a bunch of guys in suits, whereas the reality is surely much less dramatic and involves Doritos.
