Oh, I love YKK for its questions and never want any of it resolved, but they're of a different nature. Disregarding all of the personal whys and hows that they share, there always more an element of mystery to YKK. It's just something that's happening, no one knows why. Why should something as small as people be expected to understand the will of something as all-encompassing as nature itself? My questions for Aria all come down to economics or, as you said, the science behind the terraforming process or something equally quantifiable. Something that humans have directly and intentionally manipulated or set in place and main characters have a hand in no less, yet still remain entirely opaque.
It's slice of life though and how many people go throughout their day questioning how their microwave works for the sake of an imaginary audience with technology 500 years more primitive than our own?
As slice of life anime go Aria is the only thing comes close to YKK and I do still love it.>>10476076
Read the manga before you touch the OVAs. They're not bad, they're just not as love. Choro Club soundtrack as with Aria, however.
