GitS:SAC is good, but it always drops the ball at the end of each season. It builds and builds and then just sort of fizzes out at the end.
The first season builds up to what should be a huge climactic battle between Major, Batou, and the forces after them, but after she's shot, the next episode is a bunch of talking and wrap up. It's blue balls.
In the second season, the final episode starts out well, then they sprint to the finish line after the Tachikoma's satelite sacrifice. It did the total opposite of what the first season did - instead of too much time wrapping up, it did too little. Killing Goda was completely unnecessary. Kuze's death was an afterthought. Then a time skip for no particular reason. It's faggotry.
SSS lost gas in the final act, too. The producers have no idea how to conclude a story.
